Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills Fashion Lifestyle Portrait Photoshoot
Here is a collection of some of my favorite portraits I took featuring actress and model Jenna Zhu back in February 2024.
The photoshoot took place Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. For this photoshoot, Jenna wanted to produce a more fashion-forward portrait shoot for her comp card. The high-end stores on Rodeo Drive was a perfect opportunity to capture this style of photography.
These photos were taken with the Sony A7R III paired Sigma 85mm and 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art lens.
All photographs were edited in Adobe Lightroom.

Choosing The Location
Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills is one of the most famous locations in Los Angeles, known for the high-end brand storefronts neighboring each other. You can find brands like Versace, Gucci, and Tiffany & Co. here. Despite this, we ended up focusing on some of the wall textures and stairs you find at Rodeo Drive and utilize them as backgrounds for this portrait shoot.
Rodeo Drive is usually pretty crowded with locals and tourists alike. However, I wanted to get solo portraits of Jenna without distractions so that the shoot would be useful for her comp card. Jenna brought multiple outfits that were simple but still had the style she was going for on this fashion photoshoot.

NIGHT PORTRAITS ON RODEO DRIVE
These night portraits came at the last minute at the end of the shoot. As we were heading back, I noticed some of the lights from the storefronts and decided to use them for some quick portraits. As a commercial photographer who shoots outdoors and in natural light, I’m always looking for available light sources to use in my images.
Even though these photos captured more of a street lifestyle vibe (which is more commonly what I photograph), I think they still go well with the style of the photoshoot and was a great way to end the portrait session.
